"Thank you so much for having the ability for me to weigh my baby!!! I have a 1 month old and was not due for my next doctor visit for another month, but I wanted to know what my newborn weighed since I am breastfeeding and make sure he is gaining weight. Your ministry is such a blessing to my family."

July 13, 2021
We moved the ribbon cutting inside because it was pouring rain outside. There were conference, the mayor of Smithville, the Chamber of Commerce President April Daniels came, and about 30 other people showed up. There was punch and cookies served to create festivities! Everyone was truly so thrilled to see the house and hear all the plans for The Helping Hands of Hope.

Lou Rose donated a lot of the furniture, along with the Born Again Emporium in Smithville, TX.

The founders are Pastor Cindy Layton, Sharlene Scheler (Westley Nurse), and Trisha Menasco. They got together and came up with this idea to help fill the need.

The community is incredibly supported by providing clothing, diapers, money, and encouraging words.

Come and visit us on Tuesdays from 12pm-4pm at 206 NE 6th Street, Smithville, TX.
